Policy Changes, Events, and Baked Goods
This is a very important mod post! Though Nevi will remain on a hiatus due to computer issues, this most contains things we have been considering the past few weeks in order to keep the game running fluidly and hopefully successfully. Please read the following and we would love any and all feedback you can give!

APPLICATION PROCESS
The application and reservation process we have been adhering to is one that is very typical of most games. Ours, however, is very small with a lot of room to grow. There has been voiced interest both in the community and outside, but with the way things have been set up it has been difficult to keep it. We feel that this does not facilitate the activity and growth needed to keep this game running as it stands. In light of this, we have decided to keep applications and reservations open indefinitely.
What does that mean? Applications will be accepted and reviewed as they come in rather than in a specific one week period. Reservations will be treated similarly, with each reservation lasting 7 days instead of holding out to the end of the application period (since there won't be one!). All other rules will still apply (i.e. only reserving two characters at a time, multiple reservations, etc.) The FAQ page will be updated shortly to reflect these changes.

What does that mean? Applications will be accepted and reviewed as they come in rather than in a specific one week period. ACTIVITY CHECK
For the reasons addressed above, we would like to take a moment to remind you we have also changed our requirements for passing an activity check. Though the content of what we are asking for is the same (threads, logs, etc.), the exact amount has changed. Instead of two we are now asking for only one of the following...
The rewards for passing an activity check have not changed. By completing an Activity Check, you will automatically receive 10 LP. You can use this to buy new licenses for your character. If you provide extra activity, you may receive an extra 5 LP.
Because of the new application process, however, Activity Check requirements may be slightly different for each person. Every new character gets a free first activity check waive! They can, however, still complete it for bonus LP. What we will ask is that they fill out the form, even if they don't want to post activity, letting us know they were just accepted this month and they will be waived. If someone is accepted WITHIN an activity check period, their next month will be waived so they will get the full month free as everyone else. After that, everything is the same.
► One entry in tidesofwar by your character, or a multi-character post in which yours is a part of. This must also show that threads within the post were not immediately dropped.
► Comment threads intidesofwar in posts by other characters. These comment threads must have at least 15 comments by your character to count. Multiple threads can be used to add up to 15 if needed. Icon spam does not count as individual comments.

UPCOMING EVENTS
The CALENDAR page has been updated and finalized for the month of September. Within the next week, I will be getting October set up as well so we can be prepared. I apologize for the lateness of this one! It is a one time mishap, I promise.
► A SCANDAL IN DALMASCA! September 7th-9th There are rumors of some compromising photos of the Late Royal Family being auctioned off on the black market. Though the papers are trying to keep it hush hush, anyone with a pair of ears will eventually find out one way or another. Characters are welcome to ask around and discuss amongst themselves. Perhaps they will even plan to bid on said items, for the sanctity of the blood line or because they think it's funny as hell? It's up to you! Come September 9th, however, it will turn out that the secret location of the auction has been made not-so-secret and before a winning bid can be placed, the event will be bombarded with imperial soldiers. The incriminating photos will turn out to be paintings that were hundreds of years old and painted over (rather poorly) in an attempt to restore them to their former glory, which ended up making them appear much more lecherous than they originally were.
► RESISTANCE MEETING IN RABANSTRE September 14th To help kick start some things together, we are going to set up a log for the first game-wide meeting for anyone who is involved in or wants to be involved in the resistance movement. This is going to be a secret, underground meeting, so don't expect everyone to know about it. Please do not feel obligated to wait for us to post these sorts of logs, however. We really encourage all the plotting you guys have been up to! We just want to help give you a push. What exactly you end up talking about and deciding is up to you!
► FLOWERING CACTOID HUNT September 16th-21st This month's official clan hunt! It will be handed the same as the Thextra hunt. For reference you can revisit that posting HERE.
► An Airship Named Kupo September 12th & 27th-30th One of Ivalice's most beloved plays, An Airship Named Kupo, will be performed in late September for all who wish to relive their childhood or simply revel in the awesomeness that is classic performance theatre. Fliers will be posted all around Bhujerba and many will find their way down to Dalmasca and beyond as well. Come evening of the 27th, the performance will take place in Bhujerba on the Khus Skygrounds. It is expected to be packed, so be sure to show up extra early. These are free shows by a local theatre group, but donations are accepted and encouraged.
